Attractions in Memphis

Graceland, Elvis Presley's mansion-turned-museum, is naturally one of the biggest attractions in Memphis, but there are also numerous other noteworthy destinations. The National Civil Rights Museum, the Gibson Guitar Factory and Showcase and Victorian Village—a historic district featuring dozens of Civil War-era mansions—are also popular sightseeing options. The Memphis Brooks Museum of Art houses one of the oldest and largest fine art collections in the Southeast, while the Dixon Gallery and Gardens focuses on impressionism and includes four outdoor gardens featuring Greco-Roman sculptures. Memphis also offers an array of scenic parks, the Memphis Zoo, Libertyland amusement park, casino gambling and more than 30 public and private golf courses in the metropolitan area.
