We’ll have a group of fun, friendly, like-minded people for a virtual experience designed to spark connection – romantic or otherwise. This is intended for singles 45 & Over. WHY YOU SHOULD DO IT: In this time of physical distance, staying connected is more important than ever. You don’t have to put dating or meeting new friends on hold until you go out again! You just need to take a different approach. So try something different – you’ll surprised how fun it is! HOW DOES THIS WORK: To start the event, we’ll ask each participant to bring/show an item that describes your personality. Then we’ll have other conversation-sparking activities to guide the event and take you beyond surface-level small talk. Everyone gets a chance to chat with each other. We will split the group into chat rooms, so they could enjoy great conversations in small groups. We will then move the group around and everyone got to chat with everyone. After the event, we’ll leave the event open for about 20 minutes so you can exchange contact information with anyone else. WHAT DO YOU NEED: All you need is either a laptop/phone/tablet. We strongly advise you use a desktop device for better quality. Once you register for a ticket, you will be sent a secured Zoom link to join closer to the event date/time. If you haven’t already, download Zoom (it’s free and easy to use). Once you login to the event, you’ll get to see all of the other participants via video. WHO WILL BE THERE: We will have up to 20 attendees. This is not guaranteed to be completely gender balanced but we will do our best.

Funny Women of a Certain Age is a comedy show straight from the unfettered mouths and uninhibited minds of the funniest, most daring, most experienced people in comedy: the women that have seen it all. They’ve raised children both on and off the road with big hairy club bouncers cradling their babies while onstage. These women have stayed in comedy condos where you don’t want to use a blacklight on anything. They’ve been told women aren’t funny and asked to trade sexual favors for work. Trust us, they have A LOT to say, and they say it hysterically. Women of a Certain Age Comedy — created and produced by veteran comedian Carole Montgomery. A comedy show for the ages. Female comics who tell it like it is cause they just don’t give a crap anymore.

Join facilitator Neva Hutchinson in exploring the plague experience in Shakespeare’s world. During the first 20-minutes of the sessions, we’ll explore the ins and outs of the plagues and how it affected specific works. In the full series, we will focus on four different Shakespearean plays, written during epidemics: A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Romeo and Juliet, Macbeth, and King Lear. Registering for this event enrolls you ONLY for A Midsummer Night’s Dream on July 12.

A fully interactive, all-virtual, all-incredible magic show for the sheltered masses. The show combines amazing stories and incredible mysteries that happen both virtually and in reality, with unique magic designed to reach through the screen and into your own hands. The show is an unforgettable, quarantine-only performance that is sorely needed right now. It is a one-of-a-kind show that has never been experienced before, and hopefully will never be experienced again.
COVID-19 may have cancelled public performances… but not if we go online and play for you there! Ever seen the jaw bone of a donkey in action? Yes, it’s a musical instrument and you will see it live from the comfort of your own home! If you own a computer, laptop, tablet or phone you can enter the world of Afro-Peruvian Jazz Music! The show MUST and WILL go on. Are you with us? We will be damned if we are going to skirt our responsibility to keep you entertained and inspired during these difficult times. This fully curated online concert will feature the band in an acoustically wonderful hall. No live audience… except you, sitting wherever you’d like around the world… Afro-Peruvian Jazz Music is a rare combination of music that gives you something that you can feel while also giving you something that you can think about. Loyal fans describe the music as “cool, in a hot kind of way.” The New York Times says: “The Afro-Peruvian Sextet knows its mission well and has the execution down to a science!” According to the Wall Street Journal: “The Afro-Peruvian Sextet produces a highly simpatico blend of jazz and Latin American rhythms.” And Rifftides says: “The Afro-Peruvian Sextet is writing a new chapter in the history of Latin Jazz.” While we understand how scary the current conditions are, we also understand ours to be a responsibility to you! The show must go on and we will focus all of our energies in providing the best night of music you’ve ever heard online… If you purchase a ticket and miss the show… a replay will be available for 48 hours so no worries!
Know your Michael Scott from your Michael Scarn? Your Tuna from your Temp? Your Alfredo’s Pizza Cafe from your Pizza by Alfredo? More prestigious than the Dundies, more exciting than Office Olympics, this live virtual trivia party is a way to finally cash in on all those Dunder Mifflin facts, characters and quotes that’ve just been rattling around in your head. And how cool is this: Your hosts are The Office! A Musical Parody stars Sarah Mackenzie Baron and Tom McGovern!

Since we can’t go outside, let’s look within…OUR CLOSETS! Welcome to what I call a Mindful Closet Audit. During this virtual experience, I will guide you on how to not only be present with the clothing that you already own, but also how to mindfully release those pieces that no longer serve the person you have become and would like to be. We will go a step further than Marie Kondo’s process of asking “Does it bring me joy?” to ask the deeper question “Does it fit the (style) story I’d like to tell?” Using my background as a fashion designer, educator and enthusiast, I have crafted a series of exercises that will help reintegrate and reset the relationship between your body, soul and style choices. Together we will create a manageable framework that you can use to consciously design the wardrobe of your dreams. This pandemic has been really scary for all of us, join me and let’s try to find the silver (coat?) lining in this gift of a pause from our regular schedules and uninspired style ruts.
Do you love The Golden Girls? Here is your opportunity to have some fun playing our live Golden Girls trivia game. You will also get to socialize and make other friends from the safety and comfort of your home. Prize will be a Amazon Gift card, free future events and maybe some other goodies. This event will be held in a Zoom Virtual Room. This is a single-player game, not a team game. Each participant will need to access from their own device and have their own registration. You will join the virtual room at the specified time. Prior to starting the game we will virtually introduce you to some of the other participants (if for any reason you are not interested in meeting the other participants, you can opt out of this part). At game time, your host will read off several trivia questions from The Golden Girls. Your goal is to come up with the correct answer to each question and write it down on your paper. Once the round is over (about 6 questions), we will go through the answers and determine which person/people had the highest score for the round. That person/people will get a raffle ticket for a chance to win a prize at the end of the event. We will play multiple rounds so each time you win a round, you will earn another raffle entry. Your host will virtually introduce you to a few more participants before we move on to the next round (if for any reason you are not interested in meeting the other participants, you can opt out of this part).

Set in an unnamed totalitarian state, The Miracle of Heliane (Das Wunder der Heliane) features an intricate, erotic triangle between a ruthless despot, The Ruler; his beautiful and neglected wife, Heliane; and a young, messianic Stranger. An allegorical tale, about the destruction of a dictatorship by a woman, Heliane premiered to great acclaim in Hamburg in 1927, and remains extraordinarily relevant today. This new production is directed by Christian Räth, with sets and costumes by Esther Bialas, both making their SummerScape debuts. The consistently excellent cast includes the stunning Lithuanian soprano Ausrine Stundyte in an all-too-rare U.S. appearance alongside rising star tenor Daniel Brenna, and the heralded bass-baritone Alfred Walker.

Wednesday Knight came to Hollywood with stars in her eyes , or maybe that was dirt from her cross country hitchhiking trip. Either way she knew she had found her niche. She rose to fame as Kelly Bundy’s stunt double on Married With Children ( the censors had to cut all her scenes because even Fox didn’t like the blatant Al punching his daughter angle ) The blows to her head not only strengthened her artistically but also gave her wonderful visions of colorful blurs she treasures to this day. She can be found entertaining sold out rapt audiences everywhere but regularly at Beverly/ La Brea outside of Pinks daily from 11-1 and 7- whenever the police ask her to go away. You can see her now host her highly not viewed talk show, The Wednesday Knight Show, where her guests are truly famous, infamous and soon-to-be’s. Every Wednesday at 6pm PST/9pm EST on her Facebook page and twitch WednesdayKnight channel Wednesday is truly a legend in her own mind and is the most famous person no one has ever heard of!

Eliances operates on what they refer to as the 3G methodology™: Got, Give and Get. Every week, each attendee is given a 60-second window of time in which to pitch their respective G’s. This high pressure scenario allows Eliances members to analyze and optimize the caliber of attendance each week; because regardless an individual’s status, there is no guarantee an invite to the next event.
